Finally, a motivational planner + journal that'll make a bad ass out of you
By Josefina Loza
Motivation melded with meticulous design - that’s the sweet spot that tugged me out of depression. Post-pandemic, I was in a dark place for a longtime. I left a toxic relationship, friendship and most recently a workplace.
In the world of business and personal challenges, it’s often the stories of resilience and triumph that leave a lasting impression. I don’t profess to be one of those stories. I’m just an everyday gal who had a few tough breaks. Every time I tried to lift my head, I felt my world crumbling.
I have two children that I needed to be strong for even in my weakest part of life. We all struggle. No one is immune to it. Those very notes on the vanity mirror, bedroom dresser, kitchen fridge, and front door. Those were the little bits that gave my daughters the biggest lesson in life - “Resilience in Words.”
I began Lozafina, a Latina-owned branding, marketing, and public relations firm, three years ago to provide supplemental income. Now, it’s my only source of providing food on my table. Those motivational words gave me hope and strength. My journey is one of self love, not a pity party.
My rise from personal challenges to becoming the CEO of my own enterprise forms the backbone of “Resilience in Words,” a motivational planner and journal in which I hope inspires others facing their own silent battles.
I remember calling my dear friend, Olabanji Stephen, of ggrik design studios, late one night. Perhaps, it was early morning. “I have an idea,” I said. “I’ve been sharing these wild dreamer quotes on my business socials and now I want to turn them into a book.”
This week we unveiled that book design and sneak peek into the bumbles inside of my head. Pre-sale orders will run through December. Resilience in Words" is not just another addition to the self-help genre but a deep dive into the trials and triumphs of the human spirit.
I remember the first time I stepped outside of my comfort zone to create impact - it was scary. Now, I’m doing it again with this book. I want to do something that makes me a better person. I want to share those tough wisdoms that helped me begin loving myself unconditionally.
These profound quotes and journal design excellence, I believe will help you grow. From organizing ambitions to jotting down ephemeral thoughts, this book promises to be an indispensable companion in one's life journey. Notably, its "Journal" section provides a dedicated space for users to reflect upon and celebrate their personal milestones and challenges.
A mentor once told me “If you want to set goals, write them down. But if you want to get things done, then put a date on them.” That growth mentality to “dream it, date it, then do it” is why this planner was left undated. I can’t begin to tell you how many planners I’ve started mid-year picking them back up and feeling miserable about the weeks and months that had gone by.
I needed to break my “to-do” list, goals, and notes down to a micro level. This planner is designed to help you focus on the tasks at hand each day that you date. All we can do is our best each day. So no matter where you start, you take control of your life to make things happen for you.
