Global Women’s Forum Features Keynote Leia Baez and Young Entrepreneur Panel

Leia Baez, mindset coach, motivational speaker and award-winning author will deliver the keynote speech at the Global Women’s Forum on March 9, 2024, at The Garden Theater.

Baez, Communications Director for Douglas County, is an award-winning journalist whose memoir “A Star for Stella” inspired more than 6.5 million people worldwide through her story of overcoming adversity. Drawing on the event’s theme of “Self-Care,” her speech will motivate attendees to embrace who they are, even through difficult times.

“A much younger version of myself would have said self-care meant indulging in manicures, pedicures, or massages. But through my journey to sobriety, I’ve learned self-care is much deeper than that. I’m honored to be the keynote speaker at the Global Women’s Forum, where I will illustrate how owning who we are and loving ourselves unconditionally, even during our darkest moments, can lead to profound transformation and lasting fulfillment. Owning my story, even the parts that once carried immense shame and embarrassment, allowed me to build healthy relationships and cultivate a strong sense of inner peace and self-worth, enhancing my overall well-being. Self-care extends beyond external practices—it's rooted in how we talk about ourselves and what we believe about ourselves. It's the belief that no matter where we come from or what we go through, we can still be great!”

Her compelling story is a testament to resilience, empowering people from all backgrounds to confront life's obstacles and embrace their true selves. Discover more about Leia and connect with her at leiabaez.com.
