Hiya Founder Alejandra Wells to be the Global Women’s Forum Youngest Speaker
Story by Xitlally Velasco
Alejandra Wells, founder of Hiya and a Lozafina client, has joined the official lineup of speakers for the Global Women’s Forum and will become the event’s youngest and first high school student to speak.
“It is such an honor to be nominated as a speaker for the global women’s forum,” said Wells. I think that it’s great to have these safe spaces to be able to talk and connect with other women. I’m just happy I get the chance to be able to share and spread my voice.”
At just 16 years old, Wells, a student at Burke High School, has become a true changemaker in her community and is creating impact across the globe. Last summer, she was invited by the International Children's Advisory Network (iCAN) to present her case study in Bari, Italy, on behalf of her business, Hiya, a jewelry line that promotes self-care and mental health awareness. iCAN has invited Wells to Montreal, Canada, this summer for its annual summit to present again.
The Global Women’s Forum on Saturday, March 8, at the Garden Theater, 3125 Oak View Dr., is all about sharing powerful stories of women overcoming challenges and providing teachings and insights on economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, leadership, technology and health. The forum’s keynote speaker will be Deshauna Barber, former Miss USA, Army veteran, women's rights advocate, entrepreneur, award-winning international speaker, and coach.
Wells will share her journey as a young leader and mental health advocate at the forum. Reserve your tickets today to hear from Wells, Barber, and other powerful influencers.
