Burke High Athlete Grace Meyers Shares Her Top Five

MY FIVE: A series where we ask Omahans to share their five favorite things

By: Xitlally Velasco

Grace Meyers is a freshman at Omaha Burke High School. She spends her free time hanging out with friends and playing softball.

1. Softball.

I can’t live without softball because I can be happy with it and let my stress out while playing.

2. My Family.

My family makes me feel loved and wanted. They help me go through hard times.

3. Track and Field.

In track and field, throwing a shotput helps me get some of my anger out. I get my exercise by running and I feel happy doing it. I like competition; if I don’t get first place, I can always get better. I don’t like always being a winner.

 4. Music.

Listening to music makes me go in a mood; hype music gets me pumped up. Music also calms me down when I need to take a break.

5. Nature.

Nature is calming. I can just relax and explore the different types of nature there is around me.
