The Omaha Public Library has finally announced the 16 artists whose work will be displayed at the new Central Omaha Public Library Branch on 72nd and Dodge streets when it opens.
You can meet the artists, and hear about their work, during a special meet-and-greet at the Downtown Branch. Doors will open at 2 p.m., and the artist talks will start at 2:30 p.m.
Afterwards hear from three of those artists — Richard Chung, Peyton Pearson, and Cindy Weil — about the role that public art plays in affirming radically democratic spaces, like libraries.
Registration is not required, but would be appreciate by staff. Registration for the free event is here.
