Watercolor and Ink on YUPO Paper

  • Lauritzen Gardens 100 Bancroft Street Omaha, NE, 68108 United States (map)

Join multi-media artist Sydney Sehi at Laurtizen Gardens as she explores how watercolor and ink interact on Yupo paper.

Yupo is a thin synthetic paper that is non-absorbent and can be used to capture loose, striking textures and colors.

A little about Sydney from her website:

As an artist I am interested in work that has connections to history, nature and story telling. I believe that who you are is represented by what you can leave behind, be that knowledge, a family, or a physical space or object. I choose to work in a variety of mediums to better connect with the network of women who are part of my cultural and physical DNA. Those women have taught me to be a creator and a giver, and that my hands are not meant for violence but to create symbols of support, compassion, and love.

Individuals of all experience are welcome.
