Act Now: Just 5 Days Left to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters' Mentor Drive!
With only five days left, time is running out to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands (BBBSM) reach a critical goal—securing 60 male mentors in 60 days. We're so close, but we need your support now more than ever.
BBBSM is in the final stretch of its "60 Men in 60 Days" campaign. With the October 30 deadline fast approaching, we still need men to step up as mentors. Many of these boys have been on the waitlist for over a year, and the need for male role models—especially in Black and Latino communities—is critical.
Through BBBSM’s Community-Based Mentoring program, boys between the ages of 7 and 14 are paired with adult volunteers who provide much-needed emotional and social support. The commitment is simple: meet with your Little Brother at least twice a month, spending a minimum of four hours together, for a period of one year. It’s a small investment of time that can have a tremendous impact on a young life.
Serving nearly 650 young people across nine counties in Nebraska and Iowa, BBBSM works to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. But right now, too many boys are still without a mentor. These boys need a consistent and positive role model—someone who will encourage, support and guide them through life’s challenges.
With just a few days left, there’s no better time to get involved. You can be the positive role model these boys need, and it starts with a single commitment. Your decision to step up now can change everything.
