Celebrate Earth Day at Mulhalls with Music, Community, and a Whole Lot of Green
Story by Xitlally Velasco
On April 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mulhalls, an Omaha nursery, is welcoming the warm weather and celebrating Mother Nature with a free, community event in the Greenhouse, 3615 N 120th St, full of music, education, sustainability, and fun.
Guests can learn about important conservation efforts from Lauritzen Gardens, Mulhalls’ 2025 Round-Up Partner. Their team will share insights into the vital research being done to preserve the incredible biodiversity of the Great Plains.
Those looking to prepare for a new season of gardening are invited to bring garden tools, mower blades, scissors, or kitchen cutlery to share with Foster’s Sharpening Service, which will be on-site and offering expert blade sharpening services.
Delicious food and drink options will also be available, including bites from Kitchen Table (cash or Venmo accepted) and refreshing cold-pressed juice from The Grove Juicery. Guests can browse sustainable fashion finds from Great Plains Vintage and discover their next favorite piece.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with several incredible local organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, Hillside Solutions, Heron Haven, Keep Omaha Beautiful, Whispering Roots, and the Omaha Parks Foundation. Each partner will share their efforts and offer ways for the community to get involved in caring for the Earth.
Local singer-songwriter Andre Vander Velde will provide live music to set the tone for a day centered on appreciating and protecting the planet.
Join Mulhalls to celebrate the Earth and connect with people who care deeply about our shared home.
