EPIC for Girls’ "Lead Her Forward” Celebration Featured in KETV’s Sunday Spotlight

On Sunday, EPIC for Girls was invited for an interview at KETV’s studio to discuss their week-long “Lead Her Forward” celebration for Nationals Girls and Women in Sports Day, which was recently proclaimed by Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert.

Executive Director Kimberly Thomas and Board President Monique Farmer sat with reporters Eddie Messel and Anna Behning to share EPIC’s activity and event lineup for the week of Jan. 31 through Feb. 8.

Events will take place at venues including Creighton University, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Bellevue University, and the Benson Theater. With exciting sports activities and raffles, the celebration aims to inspire and empower girls, foster connections with athletes, and encourage community involvement.
