Welcome to the renowned Iowa State Fair, a grand celebration of culinary delights, carnival rides, and blue-ribbon livestock. What you should know:
This year, the Iowa State Fair will run from Thursday, August 8, to Sunday, August 18, at 203 Rock Island, Des Moines, IA 50317. Admission tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for children. The Fair is open from 8 a.m. to midnight on August 8-17 and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on August 18. Good news! Cash and credit cards are accepted at all of the Iowa State Fair food stands and vendors.
There are nearly 200 food stands and new items such as bacon cheeseburger eggroll, lobster corndog, Iowa Sm‘Oak’ed Roll, Deep-Fried Uncrustable PB & J, and more, including new alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
