90 MPH Winds Couldn't Break Our Spirit - Together, We Rise Stronger

In the wake of the recent devastating storm, we stand in awe of our community’s resilience, strength, and unity. The 90 mph winds may have uprooted trees and caused havoc, but they could never uproot our spirit and determination.

At Lozafina, we are deeply moved by everyone working tirelessly to clear away the damage and help our neighbors in need. Your dedication and hard work are a testament to the power of community and the strength we find in each other during challenging times.

To aid in the cleanup, the City of Omaha on Thursday opened up five tree debris drop-off sites, open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until further notice. The locations are:

  • Hefflinger Park, 112th Street and West Maple Road

  • Towl Park, 93rd Street and West Center Road

  • Levi Carter Park, 4405 Carter Lake Shore Drive

  • The 156th and F Streets football field

  • Greenbrier Park, 20601 Park Road in the Elkhorn area

If you have downed limbs that you can’t take to a drop-off site, city officials said you can put them by your curbs. Curbside debris pickup is expected to begin as soon as Monday. To help the crews go faster, please cut up the limbs.

We are here to support you. Whether you need us to scour resources or simply a listening ear, please reach out to us. Let’s continue to lean on each other, lend a helping hand, and rebuild stronger than ever.

Together, we will rise, recover, and emerge more connected and resilient.

With heartfelt gratitude and solidarity,

Your Friends at Lozafina
