Former Miss USA, Army Veteran Deshauna Barber to be Keynote Speaker at Third Annual Global Women’s Forum on March 8

The Global Women’s Forum will return for a third time to The Garden Theater, 3125 Oak View Dr., on Saturday, March 8 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. This one-day event empowers women with inspiring stories, expert insights, and leadership, entrepreneurship, tech, health, and economic growth guidance.
The forum’s keynote speaker is Deshauna Barber, former Miss USA, Army veteran, women's rights advocate, entrepreneur, award-winning international speaker, and coach. Deshauna brings raw authenticity, humor, and captivating storytelling to every stage. She turns personal hardships into messages of hope and empowerment, drawing from her own journey as a sexual abuse survivor and the first Miss USA crowned while actively serving in the military. A certified expert in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University, she is also dedicated to fostering inclusive environments, particularly in the tech industry.
Deshauna served our country for over 11 years. Commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer in 2011, she proudly followed her family’s tradition of service. She has also dedicated much of her career to advocating for soldiers facing post-traumatic stress disorder.
