Girl Talk Sports Marketing Lands Big Non-Profit Client, WNBA Star Reshanda Gray

By Xitlally Velasco

Girl Talk interns are making big waves in the industry! Reshanda Gray, a professional basketball player currently in her eighth season in the Women’s National Basketball Association (NBA), reached out to Girl Talk to assist in marketing needs for her non-profit organization, No Gray Areas.

Girl Talk is a paid sports marketing internship presented by Lozafina and EPIC for Girls. Girl Talk offers tools, guidance, and resources, from creating promotional materials. By providing consultation and advice, Girl Talk helps partners build a meaningful, impactful presence that resonates with their audience.

No Gray Areas (NGA) was established by Reshanda Gray, who grew up in South Central Los Angeles. As a teenager facing the obstacles of her surroundings, Gray often found herself without steady guidance or positive influences, or a “gray area”. She leaned on local community resources and nonprofit organizations, which opened doors for her and introduced her to new possibilities, ultimately helping to reshape her outlook on life.

No Gray Areas’ mission is to provide love, support, and opportunities to young women and girls at critical decision-making points in their lives. Through academic, social, and athletic programs, NGA aims to create and facilitate a safe space, offering mentorship programs, sports development, and beauty and wellness programs that benefit the community.

Specialists at Girl Talk are excited to assist Gray and her non-profit organization’s marketing needs with flyers, press releases, branding materials, social media content, and other promotional material to resonate with her L.A. community. Stay tuned for our projects with No Gray Areas!

“Partnering with Reshanda Gray of No Gray Areas has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. From the start, after getting to know her through other collaborations with GirlTalk, I was excited about the chance to work with Reshanda because of how amazing she is,” said Girl Talk intern Michelle Vega. “This experience has definitely exceeded my expectations. I’ve loved bringing her visions to life through my designs, knowing that each piece contributes to such an impactful cause. This partnership not only allows me to do work I’m proud of, but it also resonates deeply with my values. I’m very excited to continue this collaboration with Reshanda and her inspiring organization.”

Lozafina and EPIC for Girls are excited to welcome Reshanda Gray to the team, providing our interns an invaluable opportunity to gain real-world experience.
