Late Nights at the Zoo

ON OUR BLOCK: A running feature of inspiring events, people and stories.

By Tiffany Brazda

If you’re tired of doing the same thing every weekend, there are some pretty unique events coming up that can get you out of your rut. Let’s plan a summer outing exploring Omaha in a new way.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium offers unique nighttime events for adults on select Thursdays through August after the zoo has closed for the day. These 21 and over events include food trucks, live bands, bars and access to certain exhibits and buildings while the nocturnal animals are out.

“For a sneak peek of our themed nights: we will have a Take Me Out to the Ball Game theme on June 6 in celebration of the National Baseball Championship and a Winos for Rhinos theme to support rhino conservation on June 27 – plus even more later this summer,” said Jacey Kallsen, communications manager.

Grab your tickets and enjoy a kid-free night at one of Omaha’s biggest attractions.
