Lozafina Hits the Mic on the Barrientos Scholarship Foundation Podcast

L to R: Marcos Vidal, Suleyma Garcia, Xitlally Velasco, Michelle Vega

Lozafina was on the other side of the camera with the Barrientos Scholarship Foundation in its Performance Parakone podcast episode: “From Interns to Innovators - The Journey to Lozafina Marketing.”

Last week, Michelle Vega, Lozafina’s executive director of creative design and Xitlally Velasco, executive director of digital content, spoke with podcast hosts Marcos Vidal and Suleyma Garcia on the power of community engagement and how their Latina-owned marketing firm connects brands with the community in Omaha.

Vega and Velasco touched on imposter syndrome, their intern-to-professional journeys, and Lozafina’s mission with diversity, inclusivity, and equity. Being on the other side of the mic gave Vega and Velasco a chance to reflect on their growth and the impact of their work.

“DEI isn’t a policy for Lozafina, it’s something we live everyday,” said Vega.
