Lozafina’s Director of Digital Storytelling, Savannah Behrends, is Tying the Knot!
Cupid’s arrows are flying as we congratulate our very own director of digital storytelling, Savannah Behrends, as she prepares to say “I do” tomorrow at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park.
Behrends launched her professional journey with the Midlands Business Journal in 2017, shortly after earning her bachelor's in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her career began with a focus on local business reporting, where she quickly became a key player in curating content and outreach initiatives for MBJ.
In 2019, Behrends was behind redesigning MBJ’s business announcements section, transforming it from a free service into a profitable revenue stream. Her innovative thinking earned her a promotion to assistant editor in 2021, and she went on to launch MBJ’s first series on affordable housing in 2022. The success of this series led to her role in organizing MBJ’s inaugural quarterly series.
In addition to her achievements at MBJ, Savannah furthered her expertise by participating in the inaugural Facebook Digital Marketing Program at Metropolitan Community College in 2020. She applied these skills to a part-time role with Lozafina, where she now serves as our director of digital storytelling. In this role, Behrends is responsible for crafting and executing client campaigns and mentoring interns to refine their skills.
Behrends and her fiancé met in third grade, and now they’re set to be united in holy matrimony and live out their happily ever after.
