A Land Ethic Workshop: Ornithology 101

During the September installment of “A Land Ethic Workshop,” educator Ron Cisar takes the stage to discuss the many types of birds in Iowa and Nebraska, when to look for them, and how to identify them. Cisar will also discuss a study on the effects of lead poisoning on Bald Eagles.

This workshop is on Saturday, September 23, from 9 am to noon at the Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek Iowa. Hitchcock is about 20 minutes north of Council Bluffs.

The Land Ethic Workshop is for anyone with an interest in conservation, or understanding the world around us.

Participants must be over the age of 14, and tickets, which cost $15, can be purchased here.
