Celebrating 105 Years of Mexican Culture: Casa de la Cultura’s Year-Long Festival Series in Omaha

Next year, Casa de la Cultura is inviting Omaha to join a vibrant, year-long celebration of the Latino community’s contributions to the city, honoring 105 years of Mexican heritage with a series of culturally rich events.

The 2025 event lineup promises to bring Omaha residents and visitors a deeper connection to Mexican traditions through music, food, and art. Highlights include:

  • Las Posadas – Dec. 5, 2024:

  • Mi Casa es Su Casa – March 6, 2025

  • Cinco de Mayo Omaha Luncheon – May 29, 2025

  • Cinco de Mayo Omaha Festival – May 9-11, 2025

  • Fiestas Patrias Omaha – Sept. 12-14, 2025

  • Dia de los Muertos at the Kiewit Luminarium – Nov. 1, 2025

These events offer more than just a look back at the Latino community’s deep roots in Omaha; they’re a step toward a future where cultural appreciation and unity continue to grow.
