Girl Talk Sports Marketing Internship Makes Its Social Media Debut
Girl Talk is now live on Instagram and Facebook! Girl Talk is a paid sports marketing internship led by EPIC for Girls and Lozafina. It is intended to provide young BIPOC women with critical marketing and public relations skills. The competitive program is composed of 3-4 interns who are positioned as account executives for eight of EPIC’s partner programs.
Girl Talk empowers EPIC for Girls partners to optimize their brand for recruitment and retention, particularly on social media, where Gen Z is most active. They provide tools, guidance, and support, including creating marketing materials like flyers and encouraging partners to lead their recruitment efforts. Girl Talk aims to consult and advise, helping partners build a presence that resonates with their audience.
This year, Girl Talk interns have created branding kits, which include social media templates and graphic designs for all of their partners. Additionally, interns communicate weekly with their partners to assist with any marketing needs and request partner updates to be included in the EPIC newsletter.
