The Empowering Network Presents its 18th Annual State of North Omaha: Transformation 2030

Story by Xitlally Velasco

The Empowerment Network, a non-profit organization advocating for North Omaha issues, will host State of North Omaha: Transformation 2030 on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Swanson Conference Center from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For 14 years, the Empowerment Network has been a non-partisan organization focusing on connecting, communicating, coordinating, collaborating, and creating measurable results for African Americans, North Omaha residents, and citizens of the Greater Omaha area.

The annual summit is expected to attract more than 200 residents and leaders to receive updates on trends and outcomes, celebrate annual progress, identify remaining gaps and discuss plans. Qualitative and quantitative reports from Omaha’s mayor, city council, Douglas County commissioners, state senators and other leaders of strategic initiative feature community priorities, collective strategies, and trends to assist partners and participants with making informed decisions based on real data.

Aligning with its mission and core values, the Empowerment Network will discuss entrepreneurship, employment, education, housing, health, safety, and culture during its summit.

Guests are encouraged to RSVP, but not required. Find the event’s full itinerary here.
