It’s time to celebrate apples of all shapes and sizes during the Applejack Festival in Nebraska City.
Start the day off with a pancake feed at the fire station located at 1409 Central. The Pancake Man will be serving up pancakes, sausages, and apple cider from 7:30 am to 10 am. Proceeds will go towards community events.
The AppleJack Fun Run/Walk will start at 7:30 am at Steinhart Park. Proceeds for this event ($35 before August 31, $45 after) will also benefit the community.
If pancakes aren’t your style, the Keeping Room is serving up other breakfast items, like quiche, biscuits and gravy, and breakfast croissants from 8 am to 11 am. Bloody Mary’s, mimosa’s and other cocktails will be available and meals come with a souvenir cup. The Keeping Room will also be serving up Moscow mules, apple sangria and margarita’s until 5 pm.
The annual parade will begin at 1 pm starting on Central Ave.
